United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit unanimously agrees with Mr. Levy’s argument that his client’s interest was a spendthrift trust that is not normally considered an asset available to satisfy creditors. The trial court and the intermediate court held the interest to be an inheritance.

Case Study: Felony Assault and Child Abuse - charges not presented after asserting self-defense (destruction of property)

In an appeal before a panel including now Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Tenth Circuit agreed with the Atlas Law Firm that the appellant had a financial interest which would normally be excluded from both the jurisdiction of the federal bankruptcy courts and administration by the trustee on behalf of the bankruptcy estate.

Another client purchased his firearm after Mr. Levy successfully convinced the court that a short term medical health certification against his client should never have entered in the first place.
